We had a low key Valentine's Day celebration to start the week off. A day of basketball watching topped with a surprise beach cruiser bike from my valentine =)
We did some more home improvement by painting the entry hall, hanging curtains in the bedroom, and making a headboard for our bed from a door.

One evening we decided to explore some local bars. We found ourselves at Venice Bistro on the boardwalk. It was a great place with an awesome cover band and we danced the night away.
My ma and da came to visit to end the week. Their arrival started with some crappy events (found that all 3 of our bikes were stolen in the time I went to pick them up at the airport...so sad) but the fun times quickly came. We relaxed all weekend, watched movies, walked the boardwalk, put the headboard up, went to see a UCLA game at Pauley Pavillion, and had a couple of delicious lunches. So fun!

did you get the bikes back, or insurance money? or did you find the guy and beat him up? dang man. that bike is (was) sooooo freaking cool, good job jess! i cant wait to see more pics of the house!!! love the idea of the door headboard, tell us how you did it... that would be cool to get an old one for free somewhere!
finally! I've been wanting to see pics from their trip out there! I say hanging out in LA doing all that cool stuff beats skiing any ski week!
