Thursday
Then it was off to Grand Lake for 5 days of fourth of july fun, lake style!
Jess met us in stroud, we stopped at braums and headed that way! You drive through the one and only Adair, OK on the way. I, of course, snapped a photo to commemorate Breckin Adair's first trip through Adair.
We could not wait to get on the new boat! (well, J and J bought it a year ago, but it was our first time to ride in it!) Breckin is wearing Jess's lifejacket from when he was little =)
Another Breckin sized chair for the B. She loved this little chair! She was climbing all over it and dragging it all over.
She found this flag all on her own in a drawer and started waving it around. Getting us into the 4th of July spirit!
We took a sunset boat cruise pretty much every night.
Catching the sunset. Wine and a blanky and a boat? yes please! We basically had California type weather the whole trip.

Friday, The Fourth of July
Each morning we awoke to coffee on the deck and nana cooking us breakfast. Uncle Gary made this deck furniture for them! Amazing!
B dressed to impress the patriots all day. She even had these 4th of July diapers!
We got a pretty early start on the water.
This one loves to be on the boat! She would usually fall asleep
We anchored in a cove as they do at Grand Lake. There were lots of boats and people out which made for excellent people watching. We soaked up the rays and floated in the water. The neighbors at the lake let us borrow this super cool jet ski baby floatie.
We stopped off at the Landing for some margaritas and fried mushrooms. We watched the planes come in and take off. Nana did a few laps around the place with Miss B. She was stylin' in her stars and stripes ruffle bikini
She has been making this silly face a lot lately! (above left)
B LOVES her nana
floating in Wood Duck Cove (that is what we call the cove where the lake house is)
on our way to see the firework show at Duck Creek. It was awesome!
Saturday
It was more boating and floating during the day. Then we put Breckin down and Jess and I got to go on date #2 (we went in to town for diapers and sno cones the day before)!!! We went on a romantic boat ride, watched the sunset and took in another firework show at shang-ra-la (spelling??)
This is the Cherokee Queen
There was a weird stripe going through the sun that you can only kind of see here.
our best attempt at a date selfie
The wildflowers are in abundance right now in OK. I love it!
Sunday was pretty much the same scene. I just forgot to take pics. We headed out Monday after lunch at Rons and a quick visit from DG and Bill. Awesome trip!
