Hollywood sign from trailhead
Our initial plan was to go on the Hollywood sign hike, but we got to the trailhead and it was closed. Griffith park is close by, so we gave the Observatory a shot. After all, we have lived here 8 years and have never been.
It was an amazing, clear day, and you could see for miles in all directions. City, ocean, mountains…Los Angeles does it right sometimes.
That is the Hollywood sign to the right of my head ;)
The architecture of the observatory is worth the trip alone. B loved that she could run wild! Do you spy little B in these pics?

To start our hike up mt. Hollywood there was this plaque dedicated to our fave beatle. The George Harrison Tree…but there was no tree.

We did not make it all the way up to the top of Mt. Hollywood, but we went pretty far. Breckin walked most of the way and was tiring out. I am glad we stumbled into this hike!
