Wicked Awesome

Yet another blog devoted to my fabulous school (it is my life pretty much right now). There is a faculty appreciation representative from the parents and all the rich parents donate things such as: courtside at the Lakers tickets, a case of extravagant wine, concert tickets, spa treatments...and the list goes on. Once you get your faculty appreciation gift for the year, you can't get another one until all the faculty has received one, so you have to be picky.

Well, last Tuesday right before lunch I get an email saying "2 tickets for Wicked the musical available for tonight. Orchastra seating. first to come to the office gets them" Well I have been wanting to see this for about 3 years now, so I SPRINT to the office (which is across a canyon) and snag them! The sad part was jess could not go with me b/c of work, but Robin (fellow math teacher) came along. It was soooo good.

Faculty appreciation part 2: Kristi (fellow math teacher) snagged some prime tickets for a performance of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra playing downtown LA at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. Her boyfriend could not go, so I got to tag along. It was brilliant. The best part was watching the conductor go crazy and wiping sweat off his brow with a hanky every 10 minutes b/c he got so into it. He's been their conductor for 15 years!

It's hard to be a cowboy.

I think today I'll go find my nephew a gift for his baby shower next week! Maybe a little somethin for my sis too. It is her birthday on Tuesday, after all. She's like 30.

We need another post please. My mornings are filled with anxiousness to read what is going on in Cali, and my heart breaks everytime I check the blog and there is nothing new. My heart cannot take this emotional roller coaster.
