August 3-4: Denver, Colorado

There was no need to stay in York. Not a real tourist destination.  We drove through western Nebraska and north eastern Colorado as fast as we could.  (the speed limit increased to 75, so that was nice.  In some places it increased to 80!) We made it to cousin Liz and Cameron’s around dinner time. We got to see Hazel (their almost 1 year old daughter!) and hang out for a bit in their new house, which is awesome!  It is in a very cool part of Denver near Wash Park + Pearl Street.  Hazel has the best baby hair.  She pulls off the 90's Lesbian look better than I've ever seen.  She is hipster without even trying...we love it!  Leon got to hang out with two dog cousins, Hans and Schnooze.  We let the dogs stay in the back yard and walked a few blocks to get a burger at Park Burger on the hip and trendy Pearl Street.  The burgers were tasty and so were the beers.  It was so nice catching up with these two.  They have had quite a year of ups and downs, and we are super proud of them.  They are cool parents, creative, hilarious, and it was so nice to be at ease in awesome conversation with our awesome family.

Liz had to get up and work before the sunrise, so we talked for a short while and headed downstairs to the guest suite.  We stayed up kinda late and caught up on the blog and did some laundry.
Thank you so much Liz and Cam for letting us stay with you guys and allowing us to have clean clothes to wear on our anniversary.
their cute, new house!  It is great!

YEAH! I'm so excited you got to see the cannons. Hazel looks so different. Can't believe she is about to be one. Love their house. Can't wait to see it. Sometimes you look related...but not really in that last pic. :)
