12 in 12 Field Trips: Dodger Stadium (#7)

This is not B's first time to Dodger Stadium (we went back on Father's Day), but I think this place is worthy of Field Trip status.  A couple of weeks ago, Jess had some unexpected days off.  We decided we needed some Dodgers baseball in our life.  Jess bought tix online (they were playing the Nationals), and we hit the metro train (and saw 1000s of Bernie Sanders supporters - he was speaking at USC the same evening), hit Union Station, boarded the dodger bus, and we were there!  Except Jess bought tickets for Tuesday and it was Monday…
We bought Monday tickets and ticket window and headed inside.  We got the outfield bench seats, which were really cool!  B seemed to enjoy the game a lot more this time around since the sun wasn't beating down on us and she could run up and down the bench.  She loves to chant "Go Dodgers!" and learned all about the wave.  We stuffed our faces with dodger dogs, frito chili pie french fries and ice cream.  We left after the 7th inning stretch to make it home before 11.  Dodgers lost 3-8. boo.

Since we had tickets for the next day, we decided to do it again!  We drove this time instead of taking the train, and I made us sausage hot dogs at home + potato salad to bring with us to save some $.  We had to get some meatball marinara fries and ice cream though.  Our seats were right along the 3rd base line and we got there in time to watch some warm up and see the national anthem.

A little more crowded in these seats, but B was a champ.

Dodger Dog!

Giving a thumbs up!

We left after the 7th inning stretch again (I mean…you have to sing "Take me out to the ballgame!").  Dodgers WON!  5-0!
