12 in 12 Field Trips: Underwood Family Farms (#6)

Jess and I celebrated 4 years of marriage on August 6th.  Jess informed me this was the year of fruit and flowers, so as part of our celebration, we headed to Underwood Family Farms to do some strawberry (and tomato and pepper) picking.  It was HOT and so fun.
This place is like an amusement park for littles the entire year.  This is the pumpkin patch we come to in October…who would have thought it was a party all the time?!  Breckin loved walking around and seeing the animals.  She even fed a couple of them.

Trying to get the emu's attention

hey guy!

Lots of walking, so B got to ride in this cool wagon most of the day.

Here she is waiting for the wooden train to go somewhere.

She started to say "conductor"

This train went soooooo fast.  She had a look of terror on her face the whole time, but stuck with it like a champ

headed out to the fields!

this arch was made from bean plants =)

love this one.

We started with strawberries and picked a few pounds.  B loved looking for the "perfect" strawberries.  She ate all the ones she picked…which was ALOT!

Then we headed to the tomatoes…where I had to refrain myself from eating all the ones that I picked.  These were some of the best tomatoes I have ever had.  So sweet and delicious.  We lived off tomatoes for an entire week after this.

We got a few purple bell peppers and then called it a day.  Here B is with our loot.

the evidence is on her face

We paid for our haul and then hit the road back home.  It was the perfect family outing.  Another major highlight was hitting up an Arby's on the way home…pregnancy cravings are for real.
