12 in 12 Field Trips: Jazz at the LACMA (#9)

We have been meaning to go to the LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art) as a family for a long time now.  Free Friday night Jazz was the perfect opportunity.  Although we didn't make it inside this time, we plan to go back real soon (free admission for LA residents from 3-8 M-F…can't beat that!) We packed some snacks and picked up some fried chicken.  We were lounging in the breeze on the grass by 6:15 enjoying the music and atmosphere.

This girl can throw down on some fried chicken legs.  She rolled around trying to do somersaults and eating fried chicken for the first hour we were there.

There were tons of kids riding their scooters around and B was enjoying chasing them around, trying out their scooters and wishing she was a big kid.  There was an amazing sunset that I didnt snap a photo of.   B ran over to the blanket yelling at me:  "mama!  mama!  look at that sunset!!!"  We laid on the blanket and tried to find as many stars as we could in the smoggy LA sky.  It was a perfect evening.

On our way out, B ran around the famous street lamp exhibit.

And we tried to get a family photo =)
