It has been so hot here lately. Like, make you want to curl up in a ball and cry because your brain can't function to do anything else, hot. Being pregnant doesn't help. Not having AC in the house definitely doesn't help. I have been constantly searching for ways for us to stay cool during the days b/c staying at home is not an option. We go to the beach, splash pads (which are only open sometimes b/c of the drought), swimming pools, indoor play areas, the mall (i know!---but we are desperate!), and searching for shade w/ a breeze which has not been easy! Last Friday, was another 90 degree day and we had daddy home. We decided it was a great time to take Breckin to her first movie in the theater. (2 hours of AC…woo hoo!) B absolutely loves movies. She asks daily if we can make a pallet and watch a movie as a family. She laughs at the funny parts and gets scared at the scary parts. She can even quote a few lines from her favorites. I had a feeling she would love the theater.
We went to see Shaun the Sheep which was an alright movie. There was no dialogue and some slow parts, but B was pretty entertained the whole time.
I think she thought this was the screen for the movie! she plopped down, ready to be entertained. haha!
We got some popcorn and she got her own seat between mom and dad. She ended up on our laps the whole time though b/c she couldn't see over the seat in front of us! There was only 2 other people there (a dad and his daughter) so it was like we had the theater to ourselves. It was a success and we lived to see another 90 degree day!
