Way back on October 20th, we took a trip to Underwood Family Farms to go to the Harvest Festival. Jess did his research, and it is supposedly the best pumpkin patch in LA. It was a chilly, foggy Sunday morning, so we bundled up.
The farm was about an hour drive, so we stopped on the way at a Vineyard/Winery called Stonehaus. It was such a good accidental find! It was in the middle of Westlake Village, but it felt like you were not surrounded by the town. We ordered lunch and a bottle of wine and took our number outside to one of the many spread out picnic tables. We laid a blanket down for Breckin and had a great lunch!
We arrived to Underwood Family Farms and it was crazy busy! I was not anticipating it to be such a huge event! There were stilt walkers, food stands, a petting zoo, the hugest pig I have ever seen - bigger than a cow!, a corn maze, a pumpkin patch, hay rides, train rides, face painting, a farmer's market, pig races, and more! It was really hot by the time we got to the farm. We went through the petting zoo, watched a pig race (our pig won every time!), conquered the corn maze, got a caramel apple and lemonade, and, finally, picked out our pumpkins! It was an awesome day!
