Topanga Canyon Sunday

Our pals, Gabe and Melanie, moved from Venice to Topanga Canyon about a year ago when they had their lovely babe, Paloma.  It is sad that we don't see them as often, but their place in Topanga is sure fun to visit when we can!  

We went up last Sunday for basketball and BBQ.  B had a good time in Paloma's repurposed crib out on the patio.

 We lounged on the patio and chatted baby.  We munched on some yummy Habenero Hummus.

The boys have been talking about getting a basketball game together for...years.  They finally did it!  You can see by the pic below that they were a little out of shape.  The dogs and baby wanted in on the action too! 

 Breckin was proud of her daddy!  He scored a lot of points and made some basketball moves!

 The BBQ was amazing.  Gabe enlisted his Brazilian friend to grill up all kinds of meat brazilian style.  Melt in your mouth delicious.

 It got cold after the sun went down, but B was a trooper by the fire pit.  A great way to close out the weekend!  Thanks Gabe and Mel!
