(side note: besides a few iPhone pics, all the pics on our "real" camera turned out blurry b/c manual focus was switched on without anyone realizing. Thanks to pregnancy hormones…I cried).
This "2" balloon was pretty much our only decoration. B loved it. The party was at Annenburg Community Beach House in Santa Monica. It is an awesome place with a splash pad, pool, playground, restaurant, and a boardwalk down to the water. We were stationed by the water and didn't move the whole time!
We served the awesome 2 shaped donuts from Dunkin' Donuts, mimosas, juice, and milk. Threw down some blankets and sand toys and partied the morning away.
Nana flew all the way to CA to party with B on her birthday!
Wilder brought a butterfly kite to play with, and it was a hit! I think Brett got a pretty good workout running the kite up and down the beach. It was a perfect day though! No June Gloom. Lots of sun. Slight breeze. I got sun burned!
Lots of friends came and played with us!

We had to drag her in from the waterside to blow out her candles on her cupcake. For the last couple of months, when you asked B what she wanted for her birthday she would say "chocolate cake with fires on it (candles)". I am glad we could make her wish come true this year.

OUR BABY IS TWO!!!!!!
The same day continued:
We hustled home after the party to pack and jump in the car to head to Newport Beach. We were leaving Breckin with Nana for the night for our first overnight away since we became parents! what?!? Our friends, Nikki and Jason, were getting married on a boat in Newport Harbor, and we were excited to celebrate with them.
We got there in enough time to lounge by our hotel pool for a bit and take a bump pic of #2 (so, I guess we weren't completely alone…)
Bonus! We got to hang out with Kendra and her family and meet Isaac for the first time. He wasn't much into me, but he LOVED jess!
We're on a boat!
The wedding was beautiful. The ceremony took place as soon as we set out at 6. As the boat cruised around the harbor (never went into open seas), we were served drinks/appetizers, had a sit down dinner, and then a dance party until around 10 pm. The party continued at the hotel, but this prego was dead tired from such a crazy fun day! We awoke on our own time, sat out on the patio to enjoy coffee, and had breakfast with Kendra and her fam before heading back to our 2 year old B. We should get away more often! ;)

If you come to Oklahoma and leave B with me, you could get a whole week just Lane and Jess time. Just saying......
