Commercial Shoot

Jess has a boxed wine side project going on with a few guys.  Jess is running the production end of things, and the first commercial was shot at our house on Saturday!  It was a mad house all day. cameras, lights, make up, wardrobe, directors, art department, actors and RAIN!

I got to be one of the actresses and I invited my friend Brooke over to join the fun.  There were 3 wardrobe changes (after work party, backyard BBQ, and cocktail party).  The commercial is for a new boxed wine and the box is shaped and looks like a purse w/ a strap.  This is the first model…there will be others.

Brooke's husband, Bret, was so kind to watch after Wilder and Breckin while Brooke and I played actress and drank wine.  I picked Breckin up around 7:30.  She was happy, bathed, fed and had some of Wilder's jammies on.  Wow! 

 

The jist of the commercial is a sad, talking corkscrew who feels like he has no purpose in life anymore now that boxed wine is cool.  He sadly gazes upon the party from the outside looking in at all the people have fun drinking the boxed wine. He is reinvigorated while watching Karate Kid (imagine corkscrew doing karate kid move) and finds  different uses for himself.

jess was in the commercial too.  Of course, I didn't get a pic of us all dolled up for the cocktail party, but this is us on the couch after the crew left, B was in bed and the house was kind of back in order.  It was a fun day! 

Sunday, we walked down to Deus to see our buddies rock it out.  MR Snakes (formerly known as John Wayne Bro…minus Taylor Bro + Monelli)  Burgers, Sausages, and Beers for donation only?  Yes please.  B knows all the members of the band from different situations, so when she saw all of them walk onto a stage, pick up an instrument and then make music…she was beyond blown away.  It was nap time though.  She lasted about 5 minutes before throwing the biggest fit she has ever thrown for about 20 minutes then falling asleep for the rest of the show.
