2 Saturdays ago, we decided to give our front yard a makeover. We had not planted flowers in the front bed under the gates since thanksgiving 2010! There was one little tuft of flowers left. We had not replaced the flowers in the pots in at least a year and they were dead. My initial thought was to leave the dead plants until after Halloween and pretend they were Halloween decorations :)
We went with mums and snapdragons. Later we learned that snapdragons need alot of sun...so we will see how long they last. We also got a few bushes for the bed in front of house to replace some dead lavender. Add a few pumpkins from the pumpkin patch and wa-la!
