*Hit the Road! Headed out about noon after cleaning the house. Don't want to come home to a dirty house!
*Went to In-n-Out burger. Yummy! It might be awhile.
*Got to our first leg of the journey, Santa Barbara, really quick! about 2 hrs.
*Went to 2 wineries. We really liked Santa Barbara Winery.
*Walked the pier. Saw lots of kite surfers.
*Saw a Sea Lion!!! We chased him around. My number one goal since living on the ocean is to see as much marine life in their natural habitat as possible. So this was awesome.
*Went to trader joes to get groceries and ice.
*Headed north about 20 miles to set up camp at Refugio Beach. Very easy.
*Threw the frisbee on the beach. Jess had to wade in the icky lagoon to fetch the frisbee. Jess went to the camp restrooms, came right back out and ralphed everywhere. we won't go there. (let's just say really disgusting).
*Made yummy dinner. Jalopeno poppers and a delicious potato and onion dish.
*Drank a bottle of wine we got earlier in the day at the winery. the wine was called ? (seriously ?)
*stayed up late, listened to tunes, passed out.

We saw beaches we had never seen
Drank wine we had never tasted
Threw the bee under the sunset
Fell asleep to the sound of the Pacific Ocean
Crashing into the Refugio Beach.

What a great adventure already. This will be something you will remember a life time. Been to SB but did not try their wineries. Your camping food sounds delich. Your recipes - maybe the moms could try them. Sounds like good lake food.
